Cancelling an Online Order
If you are purchasing as a consumer through our website or another qualifying distance-selling method, you may have a legal right to change your mind.
For eligible goods, you normally have 14 days after receiving your goods to tell us that you wish to cancel.
You do not need to provide a reason.
If one order is delivered in separate deliveries, the cancellation period will normally run from receipt of the final item covered by that order where applicable under consumer law.
To cancel, email:
contact@gdkynsinteriorsltd.co.uk
Please provide your:
- name;
- order number;
- address;
- contact information; and
- details of the item(s) being cancelled.
Returning Cancelled Goods
After notifying us of your cancellation, you must normally return the goods within 14 days.
Because furniture can be large and difficult to transport, please contact us before arranging a return.
You may return eligible products yourself or, where available, ask us to arrange collection.
For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods unless we have agreed otherwise or the law requires otherwise.
If we arrange collection, we will tell you the applicable collection cost before arranging it.
Condition of Returned Products
You may inspect products as you reasonably would in a shop.
You are responsible for taking reasonable care of products while they are in your possession.
We may make a deduction from a refund where permitted by law if the value of goods has been reduced because they have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
Please protect and package products appropriately for return wherever reasonably possible.
Made-to-Order and Personalised Furniture
The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right may not apply to goods that are genuinely made to your specifications or clearly personalised.
This may include qualifying products manufactured specifically for you using your selected:
- dimensions;
- upholstery;
- fabric;
- colour;
- configuration;
- finish; or
- other personalised specification.
Where applicable, we will identify products as made-to-order, bespoke or personalised before purchase.
This exception does not remove your statutory rights if the goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fail to conform to the contract.
Products That Do Not Fit
Customers are responsible for checking product dimensions and access before ordering.
Please measure doors, hallways, staircases, lifts, entrances and the intended room.
Where an otherwise conforming product cannot be delivered or has to be returned because it does not fit, you may be responsible for reasonable collection, return or redelivery costs where permitted by law.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products
If your furniture arrives:
- damaged;
- faulty;
- materially different from its description; or
- as the wrong product,
please contact us promptly.
Email: contact@gdkynsinteriorsltd.co.uk
Phone: 0161 660 1099
Please include your order number and photographs or videos where reasonably possible.
Your rights in relation to faulty goods are governed by applicable UK consumer law and are separate from the change-of-mind cancellation policy.
Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to an appropriate remedy such as repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
Refunds
Where you validly exercise a statutory right to cancel, refunds will be made in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Where applicable, this includes the product price and the cost of standard delivery. If you selected a more expensive delivery service, we are not required to refund the additional amount above our standard delivery cost.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having returned them, where permitted by law.
Refunds will normally be issued using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights.
